Our Den is centrally located on the Northern Gold Coast, with a short drive to the East to Sea World or the fabulous beaches of Surfers Paradise, or a short drive to the North to the major theme parks of Dreamworld, Movie World and Wet & Wild.
If bushwalking is more your style, a half hour drive to the West will see you at the 'green behind the gold' of the glorious Lamington National Park.
Our Den is available for long or short term daytime hire, and during school holidays, with full kitchen and bathroom facilities available. Our kitchen was fully renovated in 2013.
The main floor area has a clear space of approximately 120 square metres (that's equivalent to a 60 man tent), with chairs and tables available for up to 60 persons.
All long-term hirers must have current Public Liability Insurance.
All commercial and business hirers will be required to complete an F19 Property Hire Agreement.
All hirers are to familiarise themselves with our Den Evacuation Procedures.
Scouts Queensland promotes a No Smoking Policy within its buildings.
Smoking is permitted in designated areas outside of the building, away from the entrance and exit doors.
All cigarette butts are to be placed within the sand-filled tins as provided.
Our Den is suited to both gentle and not-so-gentle activities, with very competitive hire rates available.
All hirers will be required to supply their own electronic equipment i.e. projectors, laptops, power cables etc. Our Den is equipped with a number of power points for use with these items.
Any party hire is at the discretion of the Ashmore Scout Group (children's parties are preferred).
In the interests of health and hygiene, dogs are not permitted within our Den, unless prior arrangements have been made with our Group Leader. This policy does not prevent persons with assistance dogs from enjoying our facilities, as per the Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs Act 2009.
